After a 25-minute transfer from your accommodation, we board the water taxi and travel to Kawakawa Bay. From here, we hike 10km via Codgers Rock back to Kinloch.

Codgers Rock is the highest point on the trail, offering spectacular views over the lake and surrounding mountains.

The hike takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes to 2.5 hours and features undulating tracks through native bush, making it ideal for nature lovers with a moderate level of fitness. Along the way, we may encounter some of New Zealand's native wildlife, including tūī, shining cuckoos, and kererū (wood pigeons).

Food and water are provided for this hike.

Comfortable walking shoes and appropriate outdoor clothing are required. Your qualified guide will carry a first aid kit throughout the hike.

We'll visit 2 waterfalls and take a short 5 minute bush walk to visit a third in the Northern end of the fabulous Western Bays before being dropped in Kawakawa Bay for our 10km hike.
