Across the lake you will catch a glimpse of the snow-capped mountains. Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngauruhoe (Mt Doom from the lord of the rings)

As you ride along the path, your guide will point out lots of interesting things including geothermal hotspots in the water, our famous Love Taupo sign, Carved pau "Te Atea" made from a 2000 year old Totara tree.

—perhaps a few water birds like swans or ducks cruising near the shoreline. You'll pass vibrant flower beds and lush green grass areas where families enjoy picnics, adding to the peaceful atmosphere.

Stop for Coffee or ice cream at a Lakeside Café

After a pleasant ride, it's time to take a break. A lovely café awaits you right by the water, offering views that could make any coffee taste even better. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air as you step inside. Choose your favorite beverage—whether it's a classic flat white, a rich espresso, or perhaps a refreshing iced coffee.

Sip your drink as you sit back and enjoy the sights: the lake shimmering in the sunlight, boats gently floating by, and the occasional swimmer or paddleboarder gliding through the calm water.

Continue the Path Around the Lake
