The day begins with a 4o minute transfer to the western side of Lake Taupo and a drive through some farmland so keep an eye out for deer, Sheep and cows as well as your first stunning views of the lake. After the first 3km of the hike you will arrive at a set of cliffs and from here you will be able to see our famous volcanoes including "mt Doom" from the lord of the rings...  From here you will begin a climb to even more views of the bush, lake and surrounding landscape. Small bridges over streams will take you to the famous "echo rock"  At the finish of this epic trail on the shore of the lake we will be met by a boat to transfer us via some hidden waterfalls back to civilisation.

All transfers, Local Guide, Lunch and water as well as our scenic boat transfer. 

This is the ultimate one day hike if you don't want to be stuck with hundreds of other people on a trail, you will feel like you have the whole trail to yourself.
