This tour requires a good level of fitness and ability as we are riding 2 very back country rides. E bikes are currently NOT allowed on the Paparoa trail. So please take this into consideration when thinking about this trip.

A $200 deposit is required at time of booking. 

We need 90 days notice of cancelation to get a full refund of your deposit.

Full payment will be required 60 days prior to departure...

All information is kept private unless it is required to be shared with those who are providing food or in case of emergency.

TOUR ITINIRARY 

28th February 2026 - Drive to Wellington and ride Polhill MTB park.

1st March -Ferry crossing and drive to Nelson (possible urban ride or codgers MTB park)

2nd March - Drive to Murchison to drop gear at helicopter. Day one of old ghost road to Ghost Lake Hut (heli drop of gear/food and refreshments)

3rd March - day 2 Old ghost rd to Rough and Tumble lodge. (great food and hospitality and located right at the finish of the trail.

4th March - Drive to Punakaiki ride to Black Ball on the Paparoa trail (big day)

5th of March (driving day) Black Ball to Murchison to collect gear from helicopter. Continue to Picton to catch the ferry to Wellington.

6th March ride Makara peak and then return to Taupo.

Inclusions -

All transfers including the Cook Straight Ferry and Helicopter. (upgrade to a private room on the ferry with food included both ways.

Breakfast at the Black ball.

Dinner and Breakfast at Rough and Tumble lodge.

Local Guide in Wellington.

All accommodation.
