Great Lake Trail Waihaha section Boat and road transfer & Bike hire package

-This package include a shuttle or bike pick up after you complete your ride.

-Single rider? Get in touch and we can add you into an existing booking.

-We will try and fill the 2:30pm boat first,

-Boat pick up at 2:30pm however if you have a group or would like a different time please inquire with us.

We will meet you at our base at 8:20am and check bike fitting, we will load and transfer you and your bike hire to Waihaha bridge on SH32, the start of the Waihaha ride. After a trail briefing, you then ride the 31km (Waihaha & Waihora sections) to the lake edge and finish off this section of trail, Here the boat will pick you up at the pre determined time to transfer you and your bike back to Kawakawa bay or Kinloch and your vehicle, We will then return you to our base after the boat transfer. . 

Towering volcanic rock cliffs, spectacular views and a waterfall hidden deep in the Waihaha Valley are highlights of the Waihaha section. The trail has been built with flowing corners and fun downhills, and some short switchback climbs to keep you honest!  

E bikes are powered by the Bosch Performance CX motors and have a minimum battery size of 500WH and have dropper posts.

Full suspension standard bikes are Scott genius bikes with full lock out, dropper posts and 1 x 12 Gearing..

Bikes are supplied with spare tools and a Locator beacon is available to hire for added safety if you wish.

There is cell coverage on the trail in all of the higher areas...

Pick up location

A. Taupo or our Base at 413 Huka falls Rd (by Negotiation)
N.B If you are staying in Kinloch we can pick you up from there and then pick the bikes up after your return boat transfer at the end of the day so you dont need to drive to us..

NOTE- We can adjust pick up times for groups and operate on other days but minimum numbers will apply

This is a Grade 3 trail and is suitable for confident riders, some previous trail riding experience is a good idea.
