Timed to Experience the Aratiatia Dam Release 

Our self guided geothermal ride is carefully timed to concide with one of Taupo's most spectaular attractions - The Aratiatia Dam Release. Depature Times are at 8:45am. 10:45am and 12:45pm, with each ride planned so you'll arrive just in time to witness the dramatic transformation of the Aratiatia Gorge, as thousands of litres of water surge throguh the narrow canyon. Its an unforgettable natural spectacle that many visiators miss, making your ride even more enjoyable and rewarding ensuring you experience one of the regions true highlights!

• This trail is suitable for all confident riders of bicycles. 

• Some previous off road riding is preferred but not essential if the riders are confident.

• Moderate level of fitness is required
